“Librarians are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like plotting the revolution, man. I wouldn't mess with them.” ― Michael Moore

Big History Project

Big History Project

Big History examines our past, explains our present, and imagines our future.

By sharing the big picture and challenging middle and high school students to look at the world from many different perspectives, we hope to inspire a greater love of learning and help them better understand how we got here, where we’re going, and how they fit in. Big History Project can be used to support curriculum with activities, videos, analysis, and assessment. Also includes this shorter, self-directed version with 5 Chapters:

  • Chapter 1 The Universe
  • Chapter 2: Our Solar System and Earth
  • Chapter 3: Life
  • Chapter 4: Humans
  • Chapter 5: Modern Revolution & The Future
